Description Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking a well-qualified Windows Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Linthicum, MD area. Roles and responsibilities include: \u2022 Perform as Windows System Administrator for a mid-size classified government contract \u2022 Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format. \u2022 Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management. \u2022 Able to support multiple networks. Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed; direct others as necessary. \u2022 Analyze internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems. \u2022 Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading\/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management. \u2022 Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage virus protection on a routine basis. \u2022 Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists. \u2022 Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact. \u2022 Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed. \u2022 Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, system components. \u2022 Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions. \u2022 Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases. \u2022 Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). \u2022 Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security. \u2022 Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts. \u2022 Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: \u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree and 5 years of related experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree \u2022 Current Security CE or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire \u2022 Active Secret clearance \u2022 Ability to maintain an active clearance \u2022 Ability to be cleared to special access programs \u2022 Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds \u2022 Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed \u2022 US citizenship is required in order to obtain and maintain security clearance \u2022 Windows experience Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills may be given preferred consideration: \u2022 Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6\/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments \u2022 Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment \u2022 Server management \u2022 Currently valid Security CE, CASP, CISSP or similar security certification \u2022 Understanding basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and\/or certification \u2022 Windows domain architecture experience \u2022 Windows AD, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems \u2022 Linux Operating System experience and\/or certification for current versions \u2022 VMWare experience with current version \u2022 Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS\/Solar Winds\/Splunk) \u2022 Rudimentary Scripting \u2022 Creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment \u2022 Experience with Certification & Accreditation process \u2022 DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco) \u2022 Currently Active Top Secret\/SCI Clearance Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
