Description: Lockheed Martin, Missiles and Fire Control, Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOF GLSS) is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineering Manager to support Operations across all aircraft and vehicle programs.
The SOF GLSS program is critical to the success of US service women and men deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world.
The successful candidate will work as part of a cross-functional team providing acquisition support ensuring a proactive, integrated team approach to quality and systems across the programs. The manager will implement and maintain the required rhythms, processes, procedures, and culture to provide a fully compliant, integrated, and agile quality assurance function which builds quality into the product rather than attempting to inspect in quality. This role supports all functions with ongoing process improvements which drive unrequired costs out of the business and is an integral part of the management team, ensuring quality is an essential component of decisions, schedules, and plans.
Lexington, is in the heart of the Bluegrass and is the second largest city in Kentucky, known as the Horse Capital of the World. The surrounding region is a great place to live, explore, and raise a family. Where can you go from Lexington? Louisville is about a 90 minute drive to the west, Cincinnati, OH is about 2 hours to the north, Indianapolis, IN is about 3 hours to the northwest, and Nashville, TN is about 4 hours southwest.
•In depth understanding of the acquisition process and subcontract administration
•Previous leadership experience working with internal and external customers
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
•Previous leadership experience in both development and production environments
•Extensive understanding of quality management systems structure and requirements
•Ability to develop and present executive-level program performance briefings
•Track record of development and implementation of affordability and process improvement efforts
•Advanced root cause analysis and corrective action resolution
•Prior experience with aviation programs
•Ability to lead a team at multiple sites
•Experience in an IDIQ Contract environment
•Experience in a GOCO environment
•Lean / Six Sigma Experience
•Solid foundation in Microsoft Office products
