Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Inspection Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in our Mission Systems sector. This position will report into the Mission Assurance functional organization and will support all programs and contracts.

he Quality Inspection Manager will monitor all work operations of their direct reports on a daily basis and actively assist

Must be able to understand and interpret process procedures, drawings, and other documentation that pertains to
the manufacturing of product.
Accomplish tasks mainly through direct supervision of non-exempt employees. Meets the minimum requirements of
executive exemption under the FAIR Labor Standards Act. They will ensure that projects are completed on schedule
following established procedure and schedules.
Roles and Responsibilities for Quality Inspection Manager
Monitor and track SAP deliveries and rejection metrics for the site, and implement critical process improvement to ensure the highest quality product is delivered to the customers
Communicate risks and opportunities to management and programs on found in inspection and shipping
Provide Manager oversight for the inspection group, input for mid-year and end of year performance, provide hiring and training of new inspectors, and provide conflict resolution
Attend management product status weekly meetings and provide presentations to quality management on status of trending metric changes
Meet and work with Customers on a daily basis for quality related tasks relating to shipping and return product and verify that product is shipped on time
Meet and work with DCMA on a monthly basis for the selloff of product
Manage overtime for the group and provide weekend support when needed, and review and approve time charging for inspectors
Provide headcount and hiring forecasts for First, Second, and Fourth shift inspectors functions
Responsible for the control and disposition of production and customer scrap
Conduct audits and support third party audits of the facility
Ensure that correct and effective metrics are utilized to improve product compliance.
Identify innovative ways to improve the efficiency of inspection and reduce the inspection time
Function as the first line for the identification of potential counterfeit material
Identify quality problems, issues, and defects through root cause investigation and corrective action implementations
Support assigned programs by identifying quality requirements as defined by the contract.
Enforce quality and operational requirements as defined by our in-house processes and NGIS quality manuals to
program management, engineering, and manufacturing.
Enforce in-house Quality and Operational requirements for compliance to ISO-9001.2000, AS9100 Rev C, and In-house
Actively pursue corrective action to ensure compliance to our contracts, processes, and procedures.
Develop and maintain activities/metrics to support the Quality Assurance activities in pursuit of Quality tasks.
Provide guidance to peers and management in the pursuit of quality excellence.
Develop and maintain customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance of our deliveries to our customers both for schedule and quality.
Create and monitor visual aids QPII's (Quality Planning Inspection Instructions).
CSI coordination for sell-off and in-process inspection when needed.
Use various measuring and inspection equipment.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
BachelorÃ¢â¬â¢s degree with 10 years of progressive experience.
5 years of experience acting is a leadership role.
3 years working is quality, supply chain, program management, engineering, business, or manufacturing.
Must have a current active DOD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Special Program Access clearance
Experience conduction root cause and corrective actions on identified quality problems, issues, and defects.
BachelorÃ¢â¬â¢s or MasterÃ¢â¬â¢s degree in STEM or Business.
10 years of experience acting is a leadership role
5 years working is quality, supply chain, program management, engineering, business, or manufacturing.
Knowledge of industry specifications, quality standards, and regulations, e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, AS5553, AS6174, and
Basic GD&T knowledge.
