What does this role look like?

In this position you will:

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.

• Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Basic Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles as well as the ability to interpret, generate, and present technical material and problem solve

• Demonstrated technical experience in the form of professional experience, internships, and/or other technical training (i.e. senior projects, industry sponsored projects, etc.)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Project, Word and Excel applications

Desired Skills:

Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:

• DoD tactical/ISR air operations

• Performing design assessments and developing data-driven solutions

• Laboratory and/or hardware integration and handling skills

• Strong skills in use of Python, C/C , IDL, CREO, and/or Matlab

• Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) for procurement

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, scrum master and use of Jira boards

• Proficiency in project planning and product life cycle management

• Ability to work in a fast paced, high work volume, highly technical, small team environment

• Ability to take on detailed technical assignments often requiring learning or developing planning and integration skills

• Desire to continually learn, ambition to proactively address challenges, and aspiration to work in a dynamic team environment
