The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance team to support the Land & Avionics C4ISR Division, Emerging Systems and Strategic Initiatives (ESSI) BU, Amherst Systems Operating Unit. Roles and Responsibilities: Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Manager of Quality Assurance Policy to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The successful candidate will serve as the Mission Assurance Manager for Quality Systems Compliance, Process Management, and Continuous Improvement. They will be responsible for interfacing with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and other Mission Assurance functional areas to ensure compliance to customer requirements and company procedures. They will report directly to the Amherst Quality Manager. Essential Functions. The selected individual will be responsible for: Managing the Quality Management System (AS9100 / ISO-9001), implementing policies and processes to support mission objectives and contract scope, and interfacing with a 3rd party registrar for compliance to maintain certification. Collaborating with Program Management to ensure NGPro project plans are prepared and tailored to accurately address the program's life-cycle, Command Media applicability, and work product expectations. Developing and implementing strategic process improvements that support Amherst Systems by leading the Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement Boards. This planning and protocol includes the analysis for identifying strategic initiatives, root cause analysis, leading continuous improvement projects, and ensuring the effectiveness of implementation. Leading the internal audit program to ensure the quality management system is compliant, effective and identifies and reduces risk. Prior experience conducting audits is preferred. Providing oversight to a team of direct reports responsible for calibration of measurement and test equipment, root cause analysis and corrective action, process assurance, AS9100 and CMMI compliance, records management, continuous improvement, and the internal audit program at Amherst. Communicating with MA senior leadership, technical engineering staff, and program teams to drive a culture of quality and compliance. Facilitating cross functional groups including managers at all levels and subject matter experts on projects in value engineering, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis/corrective actions. Developing creative solutions by using data to drive action plans and implementation that supports the strategic plan of Amherst Systems. MAQEAQualifications:Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant STEM or related field. 5-10 years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Ability to perform quality related data analysis.
