Job Description : As a member of Lockheed Martin's Bethesda, MD-based Enterprise Global Emergency Operations Center (GEOC) team, the successful candidate will support our worldwide crisis management, international security, and threat analysis programs. The GEOC is one pillar of the Global Security and Crisis Management (GS&CM) organization.The candidate will support the implementation and maintenance of GEOC operating protocols based on lessons learned and best practices; lead GEOC incident response and product development during work and off hours (on a rotating basis); support crisis management drills and exercises; collect and present metrics, and support business-minded and risk-managed crisis management solutions that further the GS&CM team's strategy, vision, and mission. The candidate will also support outreach efforts to promote enterprise-wide engagement with crisis management in general and employee mass communications programs in particular, and will also be expected to provide tours of the GEOC facility to further enhance awareness of GEOC capabilities. The candidate will be required to communicate succinct analytical and persuasive reports, observations and recommendations to leadership and business partners. The candidate will be expected to establish and grow effective internal / external relationships that promote the safety and security of company personnel, facilities, assets and interests.The candidate may support Lockheed Martin sponsored special events through monitoring and mass communications. The candidate will also support training of a contractor Watch Officer work force.Basic QualificationsThe GEOC is a highly collaborative, open-plan operations center environment, and success in the role depends on the candidate demonstrating outstanding interpersonal skills and a record of excellence as a collaborative member of high-performing teams. The GEOC's often fast-paced work tempo requires a candidate whose experience includes the ability to rapidly shift focus and reprioritize tasks to meet frequently changing operational requirements.The candidate must possess operational experience in crisis management, emergency management planning and response, intelligence analysis, or international security management. Experience in preparing and delivering training, building and testing emergency plans, enabling and assisting the business by applying an assortment of security and emergency preparedness methodologies across the globe is desired.The candidate must demonstrate evidence of excellent oral and written communications skills, with experience briefing diverse audiences on subject matter relevant to the position, and the ability to draft succinct, persuasive analyses geared to her/his audience's operational needs and knowledge levels on short notice and with minimal editing support. Familiarity with MS Office basics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.An undergraduate degree in a discipline related to the position is required (e.g., international relations, security management, emergency management, business, regional studies), but highly relevant experience, especially in a globally-focused operations center environment, will be considered in lieu of full completion of an undergraduate degree.This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Desired skillsExperience presenting data in an innovative, visually arresting manner using self-made or commercially available data visualization platforms (including charts, diagrams, and animations) is desirable, as is advanced-level facility with MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
