Your Responsibilities As a Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) Engineer, at John Deere\u2019s Global Crop Harvesting Product Development Center, you will be part of the Crop Harvesting Platform Validation Team focused on PV&V activities associated with competitive benchmarking on Combine and Front-End Equipment (FEE). You will also help develop the instrumentation and data collection plan for field validation machines on combine and front-end equipment. In addition, you will: Carry out competitive benchmarking plans and activities. Carry out and refine engineering verification procedures associated with benchmarking. Work with the Test Engineering team and shop technicians to carry out the instrumentation and data collection plans on field validation machines. Provide technical guidance to engineering and shop technicians to execute activities in the above areas. Report out and document results for all activities. US Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. Note: The hiring manager expects that the successful candidate should expect to perform in this role for a minimum of 24 months. What Skills You Need 4 or more years in PV&V or Combine or FEE development related activities. 2 or more years in PV&V or performance verification related activities on agricultural equipment. Skill in creating and executing PV&V plans and activities. Experience working with PV&V toolsets such as: nCode, eDAQ, and CAN\/Bus. Experience in creating and executing instrumentation and data collection plans for field validation machines. Effective communication skills to work in a collaborative manner with test operators. Experience providing direction to wage technicians. Ability to travel up to 50% over the course of the year but likely higher during harvest season (May - Oct) \u2013 both domestic and internationally. Experience in managing machine fleets (priorities, logistics, resources to operate, etc). Experience in providing technical direction to contract and contingent engineers. Master\u2019s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering. Education (or equivalent work experience) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
