In this role you will develop and productionize the 5-Axis machining process of the Lipskins to a world class standard.
WHO YOU\'LL WORK WITH
You will report to the engineering manager as a technical lead in your assigned process area(s).
WHAT YOU\'LL DO
We are looking for people who want to make a difference, talented members with the skills and passions to become the best of the future in what they do.
You will provide technical leadership within a team to develop and productionize the 5-Axis machining process to meet engineering requirements. You will monitor the process and make changes to improve part quality, maximize yield and efficiency.
You will write work instructions, train and support operations in the integration of process improvements, equipment introductions, configuration changes, etc., and perform statistical process control analysis to obtain process stability for a high rate production facility.
Travel may be required up to 10%, to support occasional technical meetings with suppliers, customers and other company facilities to ensure program success.
--Associates degree in NC Programming or Manufacturing Technology or equivalent experience
--5 years experience in aerospace manufacturing and NC programming
--1 year of high speed aluminum 5-Axis machining experience
--1 year of experience with CATIA v5
--SPC analysis of process to determine CP and CPK values.
--Vericut 7 simulation experience
--5-Axis NC programming for machining of aircraft structure parts
--Data collection/analysis techniques
--Understanding of model based definition and GD&T as well as customer specifications
--Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers, associates, departments, outside vendors, and other teams.
--Operating a personal computer with proficiency in related technical and specialized software.
--Experience with specialized personal computer hardware and software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
--Working with diverse skill sets and teams to accomplish results.
--Flexible and capable of working in a complex environment.
--Good reporting and communication skills on project status and progress.
--Capable of interfacing professionally with customers and suppliers.
