This position is for an Aeronautical Engineering Manager with Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works(r) Advanced Development Programs. The candidate will be responsible for staffing assignments of external loads, structural dynamics and aeroelasticity analysis. The candidate will define staffing needs, select and assign personnel to meet program needs. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of ADP program staffing and personnel management. Additionally, the candidate will support the development of technology plans and roadmaps in support of Skunk Works programs.
A strong background in air vehicle development is required. Experience as a manager with performance management and schedule /budget responsibility desired. Experience in proposal and conceptual development is highly desired. Significant experience in both the full scale aircraft development and IRAD/CRAD environments is preferred. A portion of this assignment will be to support Skunk Works programs as an individual contributor.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Selected applicant must have a secret clearance to start and will be submitted for a top secret clearance afterwards.
Bachelors Degree required with 14 years of professional work experience
Experience in an area of air vehicle development
Experience leading a team
Structural Analysis experience
Conceptual design experience
Proposal development experience
R&D project experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working ADP or similar programs
Ability to interact effectively with customers and senior management
