Location Profile:

Southwest United Industries Tulsa operates from a 100,000 square feet modern and well-maintained facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Former headquarters for Southwest United Industries (prior to acquisition), the site offers single source metal finishing for newly manufactured parts and for repair and overhaul applications. Southwest United Industries has been a part of PCC since its acquisition in December 2012.

Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager will have primary responsibility for overseeing the purchasing and inventory control functions of the company as well as manages the Shipping and Maintenance departments. They will assure all necessary commodities are purchased from approved suppliers at the optimal price while maintaining the optimal inventory levels.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead Supply Chain and Purchasing initiatives to maximize material usage and reduce costs.
  • Ensure that customer orders leave facility complete and on time.
  • Work with Shipping and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure proper support to production.
  • Implement best practices to streamline process and eliminate waste and increase efficiencies.
  • Participate in financial planning including annual, quarterly and monthly budgeting.
  • Review and change purchasing and inventory control procedures designed to maintain optimal work flow and ensure inventory and materials are available to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Review purchase requisitions submitted, obtain necessary approvals for all requisitions, research options for procurement including quantities, quality, and pricing. Check each for pricing, availability, and quality product liability (QPL) requirements.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes, make purchasing decisions, place orders, and confirm price and delivery.
  • Follow up on late open purchase orders to ensure delivery by required date and inform necessary personnel of expected delivery dates.
  • Monitor and correct incoming purchased item receipts into purchasing database and if necessary follow-up on item receipt discrepancies.
  • Coordinate monitoring of stockroom inventory balance, place orders and physically inspect items.
  • Mentor and develop Supply Chain team


Required Skills:
  • Ability to negotiate favorable terms on goods and services, including price and delivery
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well with others
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to plan, prioritize, and schedule effectively
  • Good working knowledge of personal computers and standard office software with ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets
  • Ability to manage and develop a team of individuals


Required Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
  • 5 Years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing setting
  • Proven experience with contract negotiation
  • 1-2 Years of Experience in the Aerospace Industry Preferred
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
