Working with engineering leads to complete Design Change packages through FAA approval Updating and maintaining manufacturing drawings for airworthy flight hardware using SolidworksDeveloping and updating sustainable product quality and inspection plansProviding timely Engineering support to company's supplier base; reviewing supplier documentation to ensure compliance to drawings and industry specificationsSupporting Quality Assurance department and vendors regarding drawing interpretation, manufacturing methods, inspection methods, maintaining and updating process sheets, etc.Being an active participant on our internal Material Review Board in an engineering capacityAssist with Continuous Operational Safety initiatives for tracking and trending of legacy productsJOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION \r
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering\r
Minimum 2 - 5 years experience working in any engineering field; mechanical design experience is preferred Self-driven with an ability to manage many internal and external project milestones while producing high quality workStrong understanding of engineering principles including structural/stress analysis and material science. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and machine design is preferred.Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsHave strong technical writing skills with attention to detailExperience using 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks preferred)SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES \r
Computer Skills: MS Office, 3D CAD software (Pro-E, Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc)Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and present findings to a group. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
