Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening for an experienced engineer specializing in mechanical design. The chosen candidate will have a demonstrated ability to perform design of aircraft secondary structures. These secondary structures include, but are not limited to, crew systems, equipment integration, equipment rack design, and electrical wire (lines) and mechanical (tubes) routing and integration. This role requires an individual with demonstrated ability to perform integration activities, as well as a demonstrated ability to prepare build-to packages utilizing 3D modeling software.
Minimum of 9 years' experience directly related to aircraft subsystem design and integration or equivalent years of experience and education.
Demonstrate experience with 3D modeling software (NX or equivalent).
Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university.
Experience with, NX and TeamCenter.
Demonstrated ability to perform design utilizing the NX software.
At least a high school degree. Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university is preferred.
