Job Description :
Experienced Contracts professional to serve as the Contracts Lead for the Space Protection Programs (SPP)/Contracts, and to lead SPP program Contracts staff.
Position involves responsibility for a full range of Contracts Management activities on a major Satellite Production program, including identification and management of contractual/performance issues, contract strategies for change proposal activities, negotiations of major ECP's, responsibility for all contract administration and contract closeout activities.
Significant interface with internal and external customers and LOB management. Position includes support to SPP-related new business opportunities. Selected candidated is expected to exercise initiative and independent action. Availability for domestic travel is required.
Active TS/SCI with poly security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship required.
Extensive experience (10 years) in Contracts Management of complex US Government contracts with multiple fee arrangements.
The ability to brief management on program status and contractual issues and manage the negotiations, administration, extension, termination and re-negotiations of all standard and non-standard contracts.
Strong presentation and written communication skills.
Previous leadership experience with directing the planning and participation in training of contract practices and negotiations to personnel.
Experience coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Experience with satellite manufacturing contracts.
Experience with major Government contracts.
Experience on CPIF/AF and FPIF type production contracts.
Prior leadership experience a plus.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Lockheed Martin procedure and application.
