Job Description :
Project Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead of structures and propulsion subsystems for the THAAD Interceptor Development organization. Reports to the Interceptor Development Sr. Program Manager. Responsible for managing execution of all new development and obsolescence projects for the structures and propulsion subsystems in the THAAD Missile Interceptor. Responsible for overseeing suppliers that design, build, test & deliver structures and propulsion subsystems as well as Lockheed Martin internal-make products. Coordinates closely with Global Supply Chain subcontract managers who directly manage suppliers. Coordinates closely with finance, planning, quality, engineering and other IPT stakeholders. Coordinates closely with Government Customer counterparts and communicates with honesty, accuracy and transparency. Briefs weekly, monthly and quarterly cost, schedule, technical and risk status and maintains current briefing packages for multiple levels of management review. Coordinates the preparation of project estimates, proposals, business plans, supplier task statements and specifications. Responsible for managing IPT personnel, enhancing team member capabilities and attracting necessary new talent.
• 3-Years demonstrated project management or sub-contract management experience.
• Direct experience with structures and propulsion systems
• Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
• Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
• Experience negotiating contracts and with contract changes
• Risk and Opportunity Management experience
• DOD Secret Clearance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience with missile systems and/or missile defense programs
• Experience working with the Missile Defense Agency, US Army or Department of Defense
• Familiarity with technology readiness levels (TRLs) and technology development and insertion
• Fluent with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Skype) suite
