Description: Position will manage Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) Planners for Systems. The position will support all programs operating in SAP for aeronautics including sustainment field support. Role may require travel. Position may require providing recommended modifications to operating policies or procedures to support continuous improvement. Responsibilities include ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Position requires frequent contact with internal personnel, industry peers, customers at various management levels concerning operations and scheduling of specific phases of projects. Successful candidate will conduct briefings and participate in technical and non-technical meetings. Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a track record and/or working knowledge of manufacturing processes, MRP systems, Subcontract Management (SCM) tools and general procurement processes. Successful candidate will function as an advisor to other functional departments and external customers regarding tasks, projects, and operations, typically procurement or commodity related but will include assembly and fabrication as well. Position requires active involvement in daily operations in a high volume, fast paced, environment demanding hands-on participation to meet critical schedules or resolve complex problems. Successful candidate will be expected to achieve results, meeting company goals and objectives. Position requires management and leadership of skilled, experienced, professional personnel along with entry level subordinate positions requiring mentoring and training.Desired Skills: -Knowledge of LM subcontract process and experience with Furnished Material -Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills- Knowledge of procurement, engineering release, bill of material structure and shop floor operating processes.- Preferred degrees in in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Manufacturing Operations -Knowledge of management in a union environment (union guidelines, policies, etc.) and demonstrated leadership skills to manage represented and non-represented personnel.-SAP knowledge.- Proven record of developing strategies and gaining alignment in a matrixed environment and influencing partner departments to achieve required performance metrics- Experience managing direct and indirect resources to achieve operational objectives- Demonstrated experience standardizing and improving operational processes- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and business model- Strong understanding of demand and supply planning processes; experience managing required- Experience managing other resources to achieve common outcomes (cross-functional experience required)- Demonstrated strong abilities in relationship management- Demonstrated competency in leading multiple projects, including managing resources and coordinating among various functions to achieve project goals- Ability to build and maintain a strong network and utilize their knowledge and experiences to influence solutions that benefits business partners- Analyze diverse sets of data and identify underlying trends, drawing insightful and accurate inferences from data that result in sound decision-making- Understand, interpret, and act on data from multiple organizational areas; actively apply, share, and leverage leading practices from other parts of the organization to achieve effective outcomes- Gather relevant information systematically, consider a broad ranges of issues or factors; grasp complexities and perceives relationships among problems or issues Basic Qualifications: -Experience with requirements planning-Experience with SAP operating software, including transactional acumen and data elements available for report/metric development.-Data manipulation background using Microsoft Suite Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
