This is the Sr. Manager of the Owego based Cockpit & Mission Systems Software Engineering Department. The department supports the IWSS, Sikorsky and TLS Lines of Business through its efforts on contract, IRAD, B&P and CE&TO activities. The Department Manager will be required to work closely with their peer IWSS, Sikorsky and TLS SW Sr. Managers in Moorestown, Syracuse, Stratford, Manassas and Orlando as well as their peer discipline leaders across engineering functions in Owego. A strong working relationship with supported program market segment leads as well as the market segment chief engineers is also required.
- In-depth understanding of SW Architecture
The application of Integrated SW Development Tool sets
Demonstrated Technical, Cost, Schedule and People leadership across multiple concurrent activities
Strong Communication Skills
Demonstrated ability in: Developing and Reviewing detailed SW Basis of Estimates that fit into an overall strategic program position; Proactively identifying and mitigating risk; Proactively identifying and cultivating opportunities; Identifying and implementing productivity and quality improvements; Managing multiple conflicting priorities; Providing on-going positive and critical feedback to develop people; Identifying growth assignments and strategic hiring objectives that meet the needs of the business; Proactively partnering across peer engineering disciplines including the Chief's office as well as supported PMOs;

SW Architecture & SW Product Lines
The Digital Development Environment (DDE) initiatives of Model Based Engineering, Agile product development and Automation.
Waterfall and Modified Waterfall Development Methodology
SW Parametric Modeling
The Application of peer discipline technologies and methodologies including (not limited to) GPGPUs, Multi-Core Processors, Model Based Systems Development, Auto-Test, Test First Design and Safety of Flight
The ability to develop, communicate and execute a strategic organizational vision. The proven ability to develop and grow people.
