Job Description :
This Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) senior manager within Engineering & Technical Operations (E&TO) is responsible for the Palmdale Advanced Development Programs (ADP) laboratories. The senior manager is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, recognition/disciplinary actions, and Laboratory skills competency development.
Additionally, the selected candidate will manage the control accounts, schedule/cost/technical risks, and technical oversight of the development and operations of the systems integration laboratories, simulation and structural labs. The candidate will be the key interface point with ADP program office and other internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate shall have knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop systems integration labs and experience with development and standup of laboratories. The position requires frequent and effective interaction with internal and external customers, technical staff, and leadership up to and including the Vice President level.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years to start.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
System Engineering Management experience
Experience managing medium-sized teams (over 10 team members)
Project Management experience
Mission System and Vehicle systems laboratory development and operations experience
Government customer interaction and interface experience
Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership (Shape the Future, Build Effective Relationships, Energize the Team, Deliver Results, Model Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability)
Management over multiple teams
Structural test labs experience
Control Account Management (CAM) experience
Process Management experience
Simulation and Systems Integration Lab experience
Understanding of Air System Simulation and Aircraft Hardware and Software
RMF/JSIG knowledge and experience
Information Assurance knowledge and experience
