Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Fleet Mission Package Sustainment Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Port Hueneme, CA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Package Integration team laying the groundwork for the success of a ship class designed to respond to varied threats worldwide. Description Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced leader to serve as a Fleet Mission Package Sustainment Manager supporting the Littoral Combat Ship Design, Engineering, Production and Sustainment (DEP&S) Program at the Mission Package Support Facility in Port Hueneme, CA. The candidate must possess extensive experience supporting U.S. Navy Maintenance and Logistics and the demonstrated ability to effectively manage and operate in a fast paced environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operations of an 87,000 square foot Government owned and operated facility and will serve as the West coast sustainment team enterprise manager. Responsibilities of this position include serving as the Northrop Grumman Port Hueneme Site Manager, in addition to functional management responsibilities of about 40 employees distributed between 2 managers at the Naval Base Ventura County at Port Hueneme and Naval Base San Diego. The Deputy Site Manager at Port Hueneme and Site Manager at San Diego will also report to this position. This role also is the LCS DEP&S program lead for the West Coast and includes subcontract technical leadership for local Sustainment Team support subcontractors. This position requires strong leadership and customer engagement skills, strategic thinking, a winning attitude, strong program and functional management and staffing skills, and a collaborative approach to team building. Experience as a manager within Northrop Grumman is highly desired.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications: - BA/BS degree or higher - Minimum of twelve years experience in the support and/or management of U.S. Navy Maintenance or Logistics or Programs - Supervisory experience in a shipboard or industrial environment - Outstanding written and verbal communications skills - Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret level security clearance Preferred Qualifications: - 15 years or more experience - Experience as a manager within Northrop Grumman is highly desired - Prior military experience with supervising US Navy Maintenance and Logistics programs - Prior experience with the Navy's LCS Class Ship and Mission Package Program is desired - Demonstrated leadership skills with an emphasis on team building, collaboration, communication and serving as a visible representative of the company to the Navy Customer and their representatives - Demonstrated ability in management of multiple projects - Experience in all aspects of employee relations and employee management including staffing, recruiting, performance management, training and career development - Hands-on experience in test and evaluation is desired Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
